Authorities in Mexico have discovered an unfinished drug tunnel inside a house in Tijuana.
Police say Mexican soldiers raided the home just after daybreak on Friday and found 10 people working on the tunnel that so far measured nearly 300 meters.
The passage-way was one meter wide and nearly two meters tall, and was outfitted with electrical and ventilation systems.
Police say Mexican drug cartels have bored scores of similar tunnels that run between Mexico and the U.S.–and are usually well-concealed inside humble suburban homes.
In recent years, the Mexican government has launched a major crackdown on powerful drug gangs.
