North Korea fires 25 missiles
North Korea has test-fired 25 short-range missiles into the sea off its coast, South Korea’s Defense Ministry said. According to officials, 10 rockets were fired at 0920 GMT, with launches continuing until 1103 GMT with eight more missiles being fired – one every five minutes, RIA Novosti reported. Another series of launches followed at 1228 GMT. A South Korean Defense Ministry spokesman said the type of rockets wasn’t yet clear, according to AP. The test missiles apparently come in protest against ongoing American-South Korean military drills, which Pyongyang sees as a preparation for an invasion.
