BREAKING: Johnson & Johnson Lead Scientist Confesses J&J COVID-19 Vaccine Was ‘Not Safe and Effective,’ Reveals “Lack of Research” From Rushing to Release Vaccine: “People Wanted It, We Gave It to Them”

“Do you have any idea the lack of research that was done on those products [vaccines]?”

“I mean we basically just had a race to figure out who could solve it best… At one point, we just canned it.”

The post by James O’Keefe from July 15, 2025, features an undercover video where Joshua Rys, a lead regulatory scientist at Johnson & Johnson, admits that the COVID-19 vaccine was not thoroughly researched due to the rush to release it, stating, “Do you have any idea the lack of research that was done on those products [vaccines]?” This revelation challenges the narrative of rigorous scientific validation typically associated with vaccine development.

Rys’s comments suggest that the urgency to meet public demand and governmental pressure led to compromises in the usual research and testing protocols, as he mentions, “I mean we basically just had a race to figure out who could solve it best… At one point, we just canned it.” This aligns with historical accounts of Operation Warp Speed, which aimed to accelerate vaccine development but has been criticized for potentially sacrificing thoroughness.

The admission that the vaccine was not “safe and effective” as claimed, and the context of governmental influence on pharmaceutical companies, raises questions about the integrity of the emergency use authorization process. This is supported by a GAO report from February 2021, which noted that while Operation Warp Speed accelerated development, it also involved overlapping clinical trial phases and adaptations that might have impacted the depth of research.
